The other week I was enticed to start a SOTD for my blog (scent of the day). I won’t be doing it everyday because a) I’m forgetful b) I’ll run out of perfumes to post about
So for now SOTD will pop up every few days
Today’s scent of the day is Dark Ginger Spicecake from Solstice Scents.
Description from Solstice Scents
Gingerbread Cookies crash into a dark earthy corruption of Patchouli and Vetiver Essential Oil and a Woodsy-Earth Musk…delicious…and deadly. Scent is primarily that of warm gingerbread cookies laying on top of the other 3 components that serve to temper the sweetness a bit and add depth
Dark Ginger Spicecake. This is literally, word for word, what I smell when I wear this. This is not a pretty, sugary sweet gingerbread perfume. This is the gingerbread man who has an attitude, who ran out of the oven before you had closed the door, and now lives behind your fridge, plotting his revenge. Or you know, it’s dark
Like mentioned, the gingerbread is the dominant smell, and it’s incredibly warm and comforting. I feel like dipping myself into a giant cup of tea – so perfect. This perfume oil, on me, tends to smell more or less the same throughout the whole time it’s on my skin. Of course it settles and becomes more delicate later on down the track, but it doesn’t morph much, and I like that about this perfume.
Dark Ginger Spicecake is apart of Solstice Scents’ Winter Collection. It’s gone for now but it will be back towards the end of this year
